This phrase has always been for Gustavo a kind of motto to go in search of the next photographic adventure.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in 2006 he settled in the city of Campeche. His beginnings in photography go back to 1990, year in which he took a basic photography course and revealed in the Academy of Visual Arts of Buenos Aires and from there all his training has been eminently self-taught.
His lens portrays a wide variety of subjects, but where he is most comfortable is producing nature photography, since from a very young age he was attracted to the natural world and its inhabitants.
Likewise, Gustavo has been diving since 1994 and is an instructor of this activity accredited by NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors). His passion for photography and diving has led him to produce underwater images in his expeditions.
He is an active member of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) and OAS (Ocean Artists Society), was Delegate in the State of Campeche of the Mexican Community of Nature Photographers and member of the Mexican Association of Underwater Imaging. He is currently ambassador of the “Great Mayan Aquifer” project, aimed to study and preserve the water bodies of the Yucatan Peninsula.
His work has been published in various publications and exhibited in different samples. He has participated in photography competitions locally, nationally and internationally, in which he has been awarded several mentions.
His personal mission when he is behind the camera, is to create evocative and attractive images that capture in the public the interest in the natural aspects of our planet, the beings that inhabit them and the risks in which they are, and from that generate awareness about the importance of the conservation of the planet.
