Exhibition “Naturally Mexico” – COP13, CANCUN
On December 8, 9 and 10, 2016, I was in Cancún, where the 13th United Nations Conference on Biodiversity (COP13) was held, as well as a meeting of the National Association of State Environmental Authorities of Mexico (ANAAE). In this context, and along with my friend and colleague photographer Apolinar Basora we presented the photographic exhibition “NATURALLY MEXICO” composed of 20 images of biodiversity of the Yucatan Peninsula. It was a real pleasure to expose my images to environmental authorities throughout the country, they served as a framework for the event and a tangible reminder of what it is they are defending with their government efforts.
These events produced different agreements and conventions aimed at conserving and improving the state of ecosystems and their populations in the near future. I fervently hope that these goals will be met, for the benefit of present and future generations.
